After a lot of reflection, we have decided to begin an orderly wind down of Rosie AI over the next few weeks. We set out to bring top tier Excel modeling help to everyone through agentic AI. We made real progress toward that goal, and now it is the right moment to close this chapter.
Over the past several months we explored financing options and weighed the path ahead. The market has been moving quickly, and we concluded that continuing would require resources and timing that we do not have today. Building at the edge of agentic AI is exhilarating and hard, especially when you care about getting the user experience right for speed, reliability, and trust.
Rosie grew from a helpful assistant in your workbook to a hands-on builder that could write formulas, reformat sheets, create charts, and fix broken models, directly in Excel. If you followed our product journey, you saw that shift in action, from model manipulation and visualization improvements to a simple way to call AI from a cell with =Rosie.LLM(). These shipped features reflected the same belief we started with, to make spreadsheet work faster and less painful so people can focus on insights instead of debugging formulas.
Over the last two years, we heard countless stories from people who used Rosie to build complex models and turn messy data into clear insights. Those stories are why we built Rosie in the first place.
Rosie will remain available through the end of October. After that date, sign in will be disabled, and the service will no longer run. If you rely on Rosie today, please take this time to wrap up work or move it to an alternative workflow. We will do our best to make the transition simple and predictable.
Thank you to everyone who used Rosie, sent feedback, and shared ideas. Your notes, bug reports, and success stories shaped every release and reminded us why this work matters. We are grateful to have been able to serve you.
With gratitude,
Dennis & the Rosie team
